After a slow start regaring gigs, 2009 seems to be picking up now. Check out the dates for upcoming shows. The less gigs, the more students though, represented by a rather full teaching schedule. However it still leaves enough room to work on my new CD project, where I hope recording can start soon. A little private notice: I got a lovely place in San Abbondio, TI as a second home. I'll spend many nice days down there from now on ;).

Interesting, lively, wild, funny and full of unexpected experience. 2008 was a very good year - crisis or no crisis. The last two months of the year were marked by a lot of private company gigs and some public appearances. Especially to mention are the trio gigs with Joe and *new* Gianco Fucito on percussions and the addition of Uwe Jesdinsky as a permanent member to my gigs with Mick.

Looking back summer 2008 was a just fantastic. I got to meet loads of interesting people, found a new place of heart in Ticino and played some great festivals. Not to mention my "on the road"-stay in Croatia where I played many street corners on my own.

A chapel in the middle of Zurich, a church service of a different kind, and a dean which is an aficionado to the Blues. This really brought me back to playing solo performances in churches - and I got to meet my great harmonica teacher, mentor and friend Joe Walter again. Many thanks to dean Reto.

Through my friend and music fanatic Reinhard I got to meet the exceptional Piano-Master Eric Lee. After playing some jams in Agarone, TI I was invited to play with Eric's band at the renowned Blues To Bop Festival in Lugano, TI. We rocked!

February was marked by two excellent weeks up in Saas Fee playing with my Buddies Zyggi and Deac - The only Raindogs ever. Their manager Paco was the best host again and we just had a blast. Thanks so much friends!

December 27th: Emergency: Gig on 31st of December and no Guitar Player...Some phone calls and I got Joe Schwach on the line - he's in - we're doin' the gig. Great concert, much fun, crowd happy: Joe and I decide to continue working toghether. Joe Schwach.

Jan has recorded 12 songs with Mick Pini in a one day studio session. Mastering is in progress and the CD will soon be available for purchase. Have a good day!

Jan is happy to announce the coming up tour through switzerland with the fabolous guitar player and singer Mick Pini. The duo will perform accoustic and electric blues. Raw and uncut, straight from the soil. dates will be provided soon.

Jan is soon going to the studios for the production of a new CD. It will feature many of Jan's friends playing in different formations. The sound range will comprise Delta Blues, electric blues, Jazz Gospel and Rock.
